Pictures

Some pictures of all our adventures in July, not just the ones I've blogged about so far. =)

A paragliding park in Draper just down the road from the Strongs' house.
4th of July BBQ on the deck.
The view from their porch at night. =) We could see fireworks all over the valley.
Bridal Veil Falls near Provo.
Playing Croquet in Vernal.
Moonrise. Later that night we watched the space station go by.
A little boardwalk at Steinaker.
On the hike up to Moonshine Arch.
Dan and Kathy on top of the arch.
Moonshine Arch.
Cooling off in the shade.
He's a super hero. =P
Just outside of Zion National Park.
Pretty view from a bridge on our way to the Grand Canyon.
=P =O
Just me on the bridge.
Our first view of the Grand Canyon!
Where we took shelter to avoid getting hit by lightning.
Oh, no! Don't fall!!
Explorer Extraordinaire.
The California Condor in flight. They have a wingspan of up to 10 feet!
CA Condor at rest. Note the numbers on his wings.
Isn't it phenomenal?
On the Bright Angel (?) hike.
A pretty view on the hike.
It's amazing how deep it is.
Just before we had to turn back.
Pretty skies above our campground.
Da Elk!
We still haven't figured out what bird that is. Hmmm...
I love this picture with the sun beams. So pretty!
Brandon, Rebecca, Jacob, and Elli Horst.
On the hike in the morning right before we left.
I liked this one and had to put it in. On Hermit's Rest trail.
Enjoying our hike.
The trail head at Hermit's Rest.
We stopped at a fish hatchery outside Portland on our way back.
These Sturgeon were HUUUUUGE. That's the small dude.
Meet Hood! He's our newest family member.
He's such a sweetie.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
One of their favorite lookouts.
Juneau and Hood were fast friends. This is just hours after we brought Hood home.
Such a pretty kitty.
Juneau lounging around.
Crater Lake National Park!!
The water is soooooo BLUE.
Dan having some camera fun.
I love this picture. We went hiking at just the wrong time of day - right when it's hottest and when we would be hard pressed to find a shadow so I was parched.
Dan proposed!
My ring. =) Satin finished platinum with one round diamond in the center flanked by 5 gradually sized princess diamonds on each side. I love it!
Celebrating
We're engaged!
Whaaaa!
A view at the top of the hike.
Showing off the ring once again. =)
Again, so BLUE!
Ta da!
Just us.
We don't have air conditioning so our apartment was meltingly hot during the heat wave. The cats got so hot we had to start putting ice packs on them.
Hood being his typically adorable self.
This is what happens if we don't leave the blinds up. =/
So cute!
Dan swimming at our new favorite summer spot. Fall Creek Reservoir.
I don't even know what to say to this one except "Awww, I love my man." So,
Awww, I love my man. =)
And this is Bridal Veil Lake just outside Portland. It's where we'll be saying our vows on July 12th, 2010!

  1. Wow! I love all the pics. Hood is SOOOOOOOOOOO cute!!! I can't wait to meet him. I just had to stop at all the kitty pictures and say "Awwwwwww!" Again, your ring looks absolutely gorgeous. I'm so excited for you two! Can't wait to be a part of your big day. I must say, July is an excellent time to get married. :-)
